The Comeback: Part 2

Wow, what an amazing response I received since I have decided to start blogging again. So today I wanted to talk for a brief moment about college. College was an extremely difficult time in my life. I struggled in school.. I got into an accident while I was in college that took such a long time to recover. I learned so much during my college years that I wanted to write just a little bit about three of them. 1. It's always easier to do it right the first time. What exactly do I mean by that? Well... don't just slap something together the night before a big project is do. If you're like me you will realize that you'll be moody the next morning from lack of sleep, mad because you know you can do better, and you won't get the best grade that you could have gotten if you had done it earlier. 2. Find your support systems. Yes, I completely understand if your support system isn't your family but I can promise you that there is someone cheering you on...

The Comeback: Part 1

Hello! I know that it's been forever, (2 years forever) since I've been on here. I'm not exactly sure what made me come back other than I pressed a 'G' on my computer and somehow some way this popped up and I started reading and realizing how real and raw I was. My hope is that I will continue writing I realized how many people I helped and because I do love it--it's comes easy for me. My plans are to have a couple of Comeback posts to get people reading again and because so much has changed. I cannot wait to tell you all about it! XOXO, Leslie Ann

#7daybreak

Whats up? If you follow me on any of my social media accounts then you already know what I'm going to be talking about today. If you dont already know I am a "mormon" and last week the president of our church challenged the youth to take a break from social media and focus on the important things in life that doesn't revolve around social media. Holy moly when I first heard about this challenge there was tons of thoughts creeping into my head...like tons...at first I thought "First off I am not a youth, so why try it?" "There's no way I can go 7 days without getting on social media, its how I make parts of my living!"  Truth be told, I kept my messenger app simply because my boyfriend is currently deployed overseas and that is the way we communicate for the time being. But alas I did it and I am soooooo happy to announce that I didn't die... ha! Believe it or not I actually enjoyed not having to constantly keep up with what other ...

This Goes Out to All My Peeps...

Hi everyone! I want to talk about something that has been crossing my mind every so often and I feel that I should speak about it. I'm not going to lie, life has been throwing me a lot of curve balls lately and I've wanted to give up. I wanted to throw in the towel and be like "you know what, I'm done..I don't know what the Lord wants of me and until He gives me a sign I'm doing nothing..." having those types of thoughts the last couple of weeks has been mentally and physically draining. I haven't been sleeping well and I haven't been eating as I should. One I recognized that I was again having these thoughts I began reading over different devotionals and trying to get myself on the right track again. It's been hard and there are days when I am not my confident/bubbly self but as I read my devotions I start to have my positive thoughts again and everything seems alright. I want to specifically talk to you because I've been p...

Shout Out to All the Mamas...

Happy Mother's Day to all you fabulous ladies out there.. you might have noticed what I did there... I said ladies and not just mamas because I truly believe that every single woman is a mama...whether by birth or by heart or somewhere in between. Us ladies have some unique gifts, that men don't have, and we need to be proud of that. So I'll say it again Happy Mother's Day ladies. XOXO, GFB

Shout Out To My Sister (an explanation post)

Yesterday, I posted a boomerang on my social media of my sister working out with some hashtags (#getfitnaturally and #nosurgeryneeded) I just want to explain why I chose those hashtags to those who have posted other things in a passive aggressive way. First off, you don't really  know the struggles that my sister has gone through. The fact that she has decided to make better life choices naturally and not go through with surgery IS  inspiring to me. I am so proud of her and the decisions she is making to better herself mentally, physically, and emotionally. Secondly, I have absolutely NOTHING against those who choose other ways to get fit. Let me repeat myself I have absolutely NOTHING against those who choose other ways to get fit.   I'm honestly proud of anyone who decides to change their lives for the better and I do realize that sometimes the alternate method is the only option left and I fully support that because I know that you are bettering yourself ...

Stop Regretting and Start Living

Hi All, I know it has been a few since I've posted but in my defense I have been working on some pretty epic posts that should be showing in the near future! -Anyways- Today I just wanted to write something quick and hopefully simple... I was looking on my newsfeed and I've been noticing all the negative posts...I know what you're thinking...it's there all of the time but today it just hit me... Why are we allowing the negativity to be filtered into our lives? Why are we not enjoying each day, yes we're getting older but AGE IS JUST A NUMBER.. Why are we allowing people to control our thoughts and what we believe? Why are we regretting and saying oh I wish I was 16 again, when I could eat an  entire pizza and still be a size 4  I'm here to tell you one simple thing: STOP REGRETTING AND START LIVING You only get this one life to live so live it. I know that it's easier said than done but seriously do it! Don't let the negativity of ...

SEND IN!

Hi everyone! Life has been soooo busy, I fill you in when I have more time but I wanted to say to send in some questions for me for my Q&A session I have coming up soon! You know where to submit at! XOXO, GFB

January

I can't even believe that it is January 2018 already! Time is sure flying by and I'll admit that I am loving every minute of it. I'm incredibly grateful for this month because it's a time to reflect and get excited for the upcoming year. I've never seen January as a negative month and I honestly doubt I ever will. It's important to not let the little things in life get you down, like a gloomy day outside or ripping a hole in your favorite pair of pants  leggings. It's important to get outside and enjoy the fresh air, learn something new, go get that pedicure you deserve and just enjoy life. The negative stuff is always going to be there, because that's just how life is. You deserve the best that life has to offer, it's not going to just be handed to you, you're going to have to work for it, but like I've said before it's totally going to be worth it in the end. Here are some tips on how to get your year off to the right s...

A Fresh Start

It's a new year..helllllo 2018! There are many people out there who have decided that 2018 would be their year and they were going to set and achieve some goals. There are also those out there who have no idea how they are going to even accomplish the goals that they want to set for themselves. I'm not going to lie setting [and] accomplishing goals are hard. Anyone can set goals but not everyone accomplishes them. So here are some easy and doable steps for setting[and] achieving goals: 1. Decide: decide what you want your goals to be. They can be super simple like brushing your teeth every night before bed or a really large one like saving $15,000.00 in the bank before the year is up. 2. Write it down: this is a really important step because research has shown that if you write down your goals you will be more likely to achieve them. 3. Tell someone: this is also an important step because this way you will be held accountable for achieving your goals. 4. Break...

This Might Be You

You're the one everyone calls on. You're the one who literally saves the day for someone at least once per day. You're the one they always call on to go do something even though you've had a rough morning because of relationship issues. You're the one who they depend on because they can't trust anyone else to keep their word and they know you always have and will. People say that you're grumpy, that you have an attitude. But yet they still call you to do things for them. You wonder if they've even considered your feelings or that you may actually want to lay in bed and binge watch a show on Netflix. They don't see that the constant nagging and having to do things for them is actually tearing you down inside. Yes, it stinks because it feels that no-one considers your feelings. But let me be the first to tell you THANK YOU, for everything that you've done. They may never see what they're doing and they may never be appreciative o...

Why It's Not About You On Christmas

We just went through the holiday season and I'm sure everyone received gifts..some wanted and some not wanted. I'm even sure there were some arguments and disagreements that happened around the dinner table. But did you even stop to think and realize that this day, Christmas Day, isn't about you. It's not about the gifts, the parties, or the yummy treats. It's not about who got the best present or the most presents. Christmas is truly about the birth of Christ. It's about what sacrifices were given so that you could live this great and wonderful life. Christmas is a time where you reflect on the things that matter most, it's not about you it's about Christ. So the next time that you get upset because you got a gift that you did not want or was the wrong color/style you should remember that this day isn't about you, it's about Christ and it always will be. Much love, GFB

Sometimes There Are Those Moments...

Sometimes there are those moments when you have self-doubt, when you don't think that everything will turn out just fine. Sometimes there are those moments when you want to give up, when you don't believe (blank) will happen. Sometimes there are those moments when you're angry over a situation and you just want to punch someone in the face. Sometimes there are those moments when everything is going wrong and you just want to cuddle up with some chocolate ice cream and a movie and forget about everything. Sometimes there are those moments when you don't feel as those you belong, like there is something bigger out there for you and you have this stronger desire to go after it. All of these emotions are what make us become the person we are suppose to be. These moments help guide us to the person we're suppose to be with, the job we're suppose to have, and the life we are suppose to be living. Don't let others define YOUR life. Don...

Having a Thankful Heart

In the spirit of the holiday season... and because we just celebrated Thanksgiving I think that it is important to remember all of the things that we take for granted everyday and to be thankful for them. I would also encourage you to make a list of blessings that you have received and put it somewhere that you can see it, when you're having a rough day. It is important to have a thankful heart, even when you don't feel very thankful or are having a bad day. Having a thankful heart means that you are thankful for everything that you have been blessed with. You should not complain about the blessings that you have been given, even though sometimes it's hard because it is a blessing that you were wanting or even expecting. Even when you aren't feeling thankful make sure to express your gratitude, because when you express gratitude you are showing Heavenly Father you are thankful and in time may receive the blessing that you have been wanting. I love thi...

Perfectly Posh: Melon Drama Review

What is up fabulous people? I know it has been a few since I have wrote anything (forgive me, life has been C.R.A.Z.Y. but totally in a good way) Anyways, I'm doing a review and I'm so excited about it! It's a review about the wonderful company Perfectly Posh.  If you haven't heard about the company, let me give you a little background information: Perfectly Posh is a self-pampering service that focuses on the natural side of pampering. It is reasonably priced and there are a ton of great products to enhance your beautiful self! The first product I decided to try was the Melon Drama caffeinated lip balm and let me tell you...not only does it smell amazing it really makes your lips become full and plump! I didn't notice any major side effects, which is a plus and I know some of you are probably wondering what kind of side effects come from a lip balm, but my skin is somewhat sensitive and this product didn't give my lips a hard time, which I...

Over-Coming Fear

Fear is something that we all have to face at one point in our lives or another. Fear is something that if we let it, will over take us and we will lose control of who we are suppose to become. WE CAN'T LET THAT HAPPEN! Fear cannot over take us and we have to understand that we are better than fear itself. Here are a few simple steps for over coming fear... 1. Identify Your Fear 2. Understand Your Fear 3.Take Action 4. Listen to your intuition  5. Work Gradually To Overcome Your Fear You probably noticed that I did not put a description in any of the steps that is because this blog is for YOU! You interpret these steps any way that you would like and you take the actions that you think would best benefit you. If you need support, I am here for you! Be Happy in Just Three Simple Steps

What is up GFB fam? Long time no chat....just kidding! Today I wanted to talk for just a minute on two simple, yet life changing words BE HAPPY.  These two words hold so much power in them that sometimes it's hard to comprehend how much they can change your life. Being happy can be hard but it's not impossible. It can take a while to finally let it all go and give in to being happy with yourself, with your health, and with your life, but trust me it can get there and you will get there if you follow these 3 (that's right, just three) simple steps: 1. DO NOT GIVE UP No matter how much it hurts and how much you want to give up, don't.   Life is going to happen and you are going to want to, but in the end I can guarantee that you will be so proud of yourself and you will have so much more confidence in yourself if you don't give up. 2. BELIEVE This seems like an easy task but sometimes it's hard to believe in what could be. Sometimes, the best...
