Be Happy in Just Three Simple Steps

What is up GFB fam?
Long time no chat....just kidding!
Today I wanted to talk for just a minute on
two simple, yet life changing words BE HAPPY.
These two words hold so much power in them that
sometimes it's hard to comprehend how much they can change
your life.
Being happy can be hard but it's not impossible.
It can take a while to finally let it all go and give in
to being happy with yourself, with your health, and
with your life, but trust me it can get there and you will
get there if you follow these 3 (that's right, just three)
simple steps:

1. DO NOT GIVE UP
No matter how much it hurts and how much you want to give up,
don't. Life is going to happen and you are going to want to, but
in the end I can guarantee that you will be so proud of yourself
and you will have so much more confidence in yourself if you don't give up.

2. BELIEVE
This seems like an easy task but sometimes it's hard to believe in
what could be. Sometimes, the best things in life come when we least
expect them to and when it is the right moment. But with reward comes hard work
and in order to believe in the good things to come you MUST be able to put in the
hard work...whether it's freshening up your look, reading uplifting books, or walking
a mile around the track, be willing to put in the hard work and I promise it will pay off in
the end.

3. WORK HARD
As previously mentioned above in order to be happy one must work hard and
doesn't come without risks but what fun is life without any risks?
Working hard doesn't necessarily mean "work hard" you can work hard at being
kinder to someone, to staying in inside of going out with your friends... it doesn't
have to be something demanding or something that you have to sweat over.

Doing these simple things I can guarantee that you will become a happier
human being, and thats what this world needs right now...more happy people.
Don't let the negative world bring you down, get out there and be happy!

XOXO,
GFB

Spring Break 2016

This year I was FINALLY able to go on a spring break trip with my family, which was much needed. You see usually my school schedule and work schedule never coincide with when my family is taking their annual trip to the lovely KW but this year it did! I was so excited to be able to go this trip! This year (and every other year) we traveled to Key West, Florida and OMG it was amazing! Even though it was a long(er) trip it was well worth it! There is so much to do there, even if the place itself is only 3 miles wide. My favorite thing to do is the Conch Train ride, its a little train/trolley ride that takes you around KW and tells you historical facts about the place, (maybe I love it a little too much because I am a history guru). But in all seriousness it is nice to actually get away from the demands of life and enjoy time with family and it doesn't hurt that it was in such a beautiful place surrounded by the ocean. On our way to Key West and on our way back home, we stopped at...

2016: A Year of Learning and Thankfulness

2016. This year has definitely been a year of learning. Learning who I am and who I'm suppose to become. I've learned this year that I can do anything that I set my mind to do and that I just need possible.  I'm not who I was a year ago and I've learned to be okay with that. I'm coming to terms with the fact that I'm a totally different person than I was even two years ago. I've learned that life goes on. And I've learned that things don't always go as planned. I've learned that things happen for a reason and that things happen in Heavenly Father's time, not ours. I've learned that our plans don't always go accordingly and to be grateful for every moment because we won't be able to get those moments back. This year I've also learned to be thankful. Thankful for my family, who support me, in every decision I make. Thankful for my warm home on winter nights and a cool home on those warm July days. I'm th...

Top [Ten] favorite quotes!

Today I am going to talk about my top 10 favorite quotes and why I love them. I think that inspirational quotes are my favorite type of quotes just because as I have gotten older I've learned to rely on them and they help me get through some of the dark times in my life. 1. "Those who move forward with a happy spirit will find that things work out"  -Gordon B. Hinckley I love this quote because I honestly believe in it. I grew up listening to this man talk in conferences and I absolutely love reading his talks. It's so amazing that when I read or listen to his talks how much I feel as though he is talking specifically to me. 2. "You have not failed until you quit trying" -Gordon B. Hinckley See, I told you I love this man. I absolutely love this quote because it is true, I believe that if you keep on trying at something you have won in some regards. 3.  "If you are a little better than you were yesterday, then that is enough" -David A....
