Shout Out To My Sister (an explanation post)

Yesterday, I posted a boomerang on my social media of
my sister working out with some hashtags (#getfitnaturally and #nosurgeryneeded)
I just want to explain why I chose those hashtags to those who
have posted other things in a passive aggressive way.

First off, you don't really know the struggles that my sister
has gone through. The fact that she has decided to make
better life choices naturally and not go through with surgery
IS inspiring to me. I am so proud of her and the decisions she
is making to better herself mentally, physically, and emotionally.

Secondly, I have absolutely NOTHING against those
who choose other ways to get fit. Let me repeat
myself I have absolutely NOTHING against those who choose other ways to
get fit.  I'm honestly proud of anyone who decides to change their lives for the better and I do realize that sometimes the alternate method is the only option left and I fully support that because I know that you are bettering yourself and are in the process of becoming the best person you can become.

Thirdly, I believe that you should be proud of her or anyone for that matter who decides
to change their lives for the better. You should build them up and support them up on whatever endeavor they are on.

In closing, I just want to give a shout out to those people who are changing their lives for the better.
You have my full support if ever needed!

XO,
Leslie

  1. Yes. This. No matter what journey a person is on, as long as it is a betterment road they should be supported. So proud of your sister for what she is doing and the results she is getting after years of watching her struggle. It is definitely an inspiration. Keep supporting her darling. Everyone needs that one constant person that has their back even when they slip up. :)

Spring Break 2016

This year I was FINALLY able to go on a spring break trip with my family, which was much needed. You see usually my school schedule and work schedule never coincide with when my family is taking their annual trip to the lovely KW but this year it did! I was so excited to be able to go this trip! This year (and every other year) we traveled to Key West, Florida and OMG it was amazing! Even though it was a long(er) trip it was well worth it! There is so much to do there, even if the place itself is only 3 miles wide. My favorite thing to do is the Conch Train ride, its a little train/trolley ride that takes you around KW and tells you historical facts about the place, (maybe I love it a little too much because I am a history guru). But in all seriousness it is nice to actually get away from the demands of life and enjoy time with family and it doesn't hurt that it was in such a beautiful place surrounded by the ocean. On our way to Key West and on our way back home, we stopped at...

2016: A Year of Learning and Thankfulness

2016. This year has definitely been a year of learning. Learning who I am and who I'm suppose to become. I've learned this year that I can do anything that I set my mind to do and that I just need possible.  I'm not who I was a year ago and I've learned to be okay with that. I'm coming to terms with the fact that I'm a totally different person than I was even two years ago. I've learned that life goes on. And I've learned that things don't always go as planned. I've learned that things happen for a reason and that things happen in Heavenly Father's time, not ours. I've learned that our plans don't always go accordingly and to be grateful for every moment because we won't be able to get those moments back. This year I've also learned to be thankful. Thankful for my family, who support me, in every decision I make. Thankful for my warm home on winter nights and a cool home on those warm July days. I'm th...

Top [Ten] favorite quotes!

Today I am going to talk about my top 10 favorite quotes and why I love them. I think that inspirational quotes are my favorite type of quotes just because as I have gotten older I've learned to rely on them and they help me get through some of the dark times in my life. 1. "Those who move forward with a happy spirit will find that things work out"  -Gordon B. Hinckley I love this quote because I honestly believe in it. I grew up listening to this man talk in conferences and I absolutely love reading his talks. It's so amazing that when I read or listen to his talks how much I feel as though he is talking specifically to me. 2. "You have not failed until you quit trying" -Gordon B. Hinckley See, I told you I love this man. I absolutely love this quote because it is true, I believe that if you keep on trying at something you have won in some regards. 3.  "If you are a little better than you were yesterday, then that is enough" -David A....
