2016: A Year of Learning and Thankfulness

2016. This year has definitely been a year of learning. Learning who I am and who I'm suppose to become. I've learned this year that I can do anything that I set my mind to do and that I just need possible.  I'm not who I was a year ago and I've learned to be okay with that. I'm coming to terms with the fact that I'm a totally different person than I was even two years ago. I've learned that life goes on. And I've learned that things don't always go as planned. I've learned that things happen for a reason and that things happen in Heavenly Father's time, not ours. I've learned that our plans don't always go accordingly and to be grateful for every moment because we won't be able to get those moments back. This year I've also learned to be thankful. [Y-O-U]

I'm writing this to [you] and you know exactly who you are. ----- Our friendship has been nothing short of amazing. Thank you for everything that you have done for me and taught me these past two and a half years. You've taught me that I can do hard things, that I can do anything that I set my mind to do. You helped me realize the amazing love that MY Savior has for me. You make me want to be a better person. Even though we have our disagreements you still know how to put a smile on my face. You taught me how to be independent and taught me how to face my fears. Thinking about your amazing example to serve the Lord for two years knowing that it was going to be a difficult road makes me smile because not everyone can do it and do it with a smile on their face. Your smile... it's contagious. Thank you for pushing me to my limits, for always being willing to listen to me, even if it is 2am and you worked a double. You may not realize how much you mean to m...

Secrets to Getting Healthy

I think we've all heard people say "I'm living the healthy life now," have we not? But then three days into it they are back to their old habits of drinking soda and having way too many desserts after dinner, I know temptation is real so that's why I have come up with a list to help you melt away the pounds.  ( Please note that these items do not work for everyone, you have to find what's best for you. Also, please remember losing weight does not happen over night ) Here are my five suggestions: 1. Throw any and all  junk food away . Yes I know your body is going to be craving it but trust me it will be thanking you later. 2. Set small goals. Don't say "I want to lose 50 pounds by May." because you will overwhelm yourself. What you should say is "I want to lose 5 pounds in one month." That goal is way more manageable and you will accomplish a lot more " mini " goals and gain a ton of more confidence in yourself...tr...
