Having a Thankful Heart

In the spirit of the holiday season...
and because we just celebrated Thanksgiving
I think that it is important to remember all of the things
that we take for granted everyday and to be thankful for them.
I would also encourage you to make a list of
blessings that you have received and put it somewhere
that you can see it, when you're having a rough day.

It is important to have a thankful heart, even when you don't feel very thankful
or are having a bad day.
Having a thankful heart means that you are thankful
for everything that you have been blessed with.
You should not complain about the blessings that you have been given,
even though sometimes it's hard because it is a blessing that you were wanting
or even expecting.

Even when you aren't feeling thankful make sure to express your gratitude, because
when you express gratitude you are showing Heavenly Father you are thankful
and in time may receive the blessing that you have been wanting.
I love this quote and I think that it is important to remember this.

GFB

Even in Hard Times

As we get older we learn life isn't always doughnuts and milkshakes. Life is hard, being a product member of society is hard. Sometimes I think that we are hard too hard on ourselves. We never let ourselves take a break and just rejoice in the wonderful life that we are living. Sometimes we all are busy, we all have families, school, evening activities that we use to try and replace the brokenness we feel in our hearts sometimes. Some of us have felt the brokenness for quite a while now but others are just now starting to feel it. (now I'm not saying all of our lives are broken but admit it you have felt sad in your life about something). So how do we truly fix this? How do we unmask ourselves and start to really feel better about our lives? I believe that we should start by looking in the mirror and realizing we are doing the best that we possibly can. If it helps get a dry erase marker and right on your mirror something positive. Here are some ideas you could...

2016: A Year of Learning and Thankfulness

2016. This year has definitely been a year of learning. Learning who I am and who I'm suppose to become. I've learned this year that I can do anything that I set my mind to do and that I just need possible.  I'm not who I was a year ago and I've learned to be okay with that. I'm coming to terms with the fact that I'm a totally different person than I was even two years ago. I've learned that life goes on. And I've learned that things don't always go as planned. I've learned that things happen for a reason and that things happen in Heavenly Father's time, not ours. I've learned that our plans don't always go accordingly and to be grateful for every moment because we won't be able to get those moments back. This year I've also learned to be thankful. Thankful for my family, who support me, in every decision I make. Thankful for my warm home on winter nights and a cool home on those warm July days. I'm th...
