A Fresh Start

It's a new year..helllllo 2018!
There are many people out there who
have decided that 2018 would be their year and they were going to set and achieve some goals.
There are also those out there who have no idea
how they are going to even accomplish the goals that
they want to set for themselves.
I'm not going to lie setting [and] accomplishing goals are hard.
Anyone can set goals but not everyone accomplishes them.
So here are some easy and doable steps for setting[and] achieving goals:

1. Decide: decide what you want your goals to be. They can be super simple
like brushing your teeth every night before bed or a really large one like saving
$15,000.00 in the bank before the year is up.

2. Write it down: this is a really important step because research has shown that if you write down your goals you will be more likely to achieve them.

3. Tell someone: this is also an important step because this way you will be held accountable for achieving your goals.

4. Break it down: you don't eat an elephant with one huge bite...start small and you'll be guaranteed to achieve your goals much faster.

5. Keep going: Not achieving your goals in your timeline can be frustrating, but DO NOT get discouraged. Keep going, keep trying, you'll get there, it just takes time.

There you have it, now get out there and show 2018 who's boss!

XO,
GFB

Even in Hard Times

As we get older we learn life isn't always doughnuts and milkshakes. Life is hard, being a product member of society is hard. Sometimes I think that we are hard too hard on ourselves. We never let ourselves take a break and just rejoice in the wonderful life that we are living. Sometimes we all are busy, we all have families, school, evening activities that we use to try and replace the brokenness we feel in our hearts sometimes. Some of us have felt the brokenness for quite a while now but others are just now starting to feel it. (now I'm not saying all of our lives are broken but admit it you have felt sad in your life about something). So how do we truly fix this? How do we unmask ourselves and start to really feel better about our lives? I believe that we should start by looking in the mirror and realizing we are doing the best that we possibly can. If it helps get a dry erase marker and right on your mirror something positive. Here are some ideas you could...

2016: A Year of Learning and Thankfulness

2016. This year has definitely been a year of learning. Learning who I am and who I'm suppose to become. I've learned this year that I can do anything that I set my mind to do and that I just need possible.  I'm not who I was a year ago and I've learned to be okay with that. I'm coming to terms with the fact that I'm a totally different person than I was even two years ago. I've learned that life goes on. And I've learned that things don't always go as planned. I've learned that things happen for a reason and that things happen in Heavenly Father's time, not ours. I've learned that our plans don't always go accordingly and to be grateful for every moment because we won't be able to get those moments back. This year I've also learned to be thankful. Thankful for my family, who support me, in every decision I make. Thankful for my warm home on winter nights and a cool home on those warm July days. I'm th...
