A Little Piece of Paradise

If you ever have the opportunity to travel to the Florida keys....DO IT! The atmosphere there is like one you will have never experienced before. There is so much to do there and so many great places to stay! (Please remember these are my opinions, I have links included in the hotels) Things to do 1. In Key West they have a butterfly and nature conservatory 2. There are tons of boat tours that happen in any of the keys that you go to 3. Since I am a huge fan of turtles I HIGHLY recommend visiting The Turtle Hospital located in Marathon. 4. There are also many boats that you can take out and scuba dive and snorkel on (this is one of my twin's favorite things to do) 5. When you get on down into Key West make sure you visit The Ernest Hemingway home 6. Don't forget to take a tour on the Conch Train in Key West to learn about the history of this great place! 7. You have to visit Mallory Square at dusk and see the many street performers and celebrate the sunse...

Secrets to Getting Healthy

I think we've all heard people say "I'm living the healthy life now," have we not? But then three days into it they are back to their old habits of drinking soda and having way too many desserts after dinner, I know temptation is real so that's why I have come up with a list to help you melt away the pounds.  ( Please note that these items do not work for everyone, you have to find what's best for you. Also, please remember losing weight does not happen over night ) Here are my five suggestions: 1. Throw any and all  junk food away . Yes I know your body is going to be craving it but trust me it will be thanking you later. 2. Set small goals. Don't say "I want to lose 50 pounds by May." because you will overwhelm yourself. What you should say is "I want to lose 5 pounds in one month." That goal is way more manageable and you will accomplish a lot more " mini " goals and gain a ton of more confidence in yourself...tr...

I'm Still Here!

Life has been extra crazy lately! I promise I haven't forgotten about my blog. I have some crazy fun projects (I'll let you all in on here shortly) that I'm working on plus studying for a Praxis test (send good vibes/prayers my way that I pass) because I take that THIS Thursday! I'll leave you with this collage of quotes I found at my school and made,  (but don't judge if I use it again in other blogs). Until Next Time, XOXO, Leslie Ann

The Truth...

If ya'll have visited my Instagram page (@xoxoleslieann) lately you probably have noticed that I've been doing a lot no wait...actually a TON of things to get back into shape and live a much healthier lifestyle. It's still a work in progress but I'm glad I finally took the challenge (yet again) to become healthier. When I was in high school I weighed over 200 pounds and wasn't healthy at all and I'm not even sure if I cared...in all honesty. It wasn't until senior year that I wanted to get healthy so I started losing weight and feeling so much better about myself, I loved it. Then college came around and my weight just took a stand still for a good while (although, I was super glad I didn't gain any of my weight back). No, I wasn't "skinny" by the world's standards, I didn't care though I was happy that I had lost a tremendous amount of weight and felt invincible. Fast forward a few years and I was still at the weight that I was...

Sweet, Sweet, Summertime!

As you know I worked for an after-school program for the past two school years. This year, in particular, I was able to use some of my "teacher skills." It wasn't bad, in fact, I learned a lot about myself and I've identified some of my teaching style which will help me, obviously in the long run, ha! I've been very grateful for this job and I love each of my kiddos and their families. But as of yesterday, its SWEET, SWEET, SUMMERTIME! If you don't know summer is one of my favorite seasons, I love the warm weather and being able to travel and do fun adventures with my friends and family. Some of you have contacted me and asked me to give suggestions on what to do with your children/loved ones this summer. Here are 20 items you can do for little or no cost: 1. Do your local library's summer reading program (this is geared more towards the children) 2. Finish an outdoor project 3.Catch lighting bugs (fireflies) in a jar 4. Visit a local...

Mother's Day 2016

Happy Mother's Day to ALL  of you FAB.U.LOUS mom's out there! I might not be a mother...yet but  I can tell you one thing I am so excited to become one when the timing is right. For as long as I can remember I've always wanted to be a mom (I even treated my baby dolls like real  babies when I was younger and would even dress them in real baby clothes) One time I somehow convinced my dad to buy me a real carseat for them because a doll carseat just wasn't good enough--haha! See, I told you I was excited! But I realize that there are people out there who are not able to have children on their own and to them I say NEVER, NEVER, NEVER give up hope. Our loving Heavenly Father is the one in charge not the doctors, He can make it happen and he will, remember that thing I said about timing...yeah you're time will come sweet girl. <3 To the moms who's children don't respect what they have done for them, I want to say to you: Thank You, for w...
