Even in Hard Times

As we get older we learn life isn't always doughnuts and milkshakes.
Life is hard, being a product member of society is hard.
Sometimes I think that we are hard too hard on ourselves.
We never let ourselves take a break and just rejoice in the
wonderful life that we are living.
Sometimes we all are busy, we all have families, school, evening activities
that we use to try and replace the brokenness we feel in our hearts sometimes.
Some of us have felt the brokenness for quite a while now but others
are just now starting to feel it.
(now I'm not saying all of our lives are broken but admit it
you have felt sad in your life about something).
So how do we truly fix this?
How do we unmask ourselves and start to really feel better about our lives?
I believe that we should start by looking in the mirror and realizing
we are doing the best that we possibly can.
If it helps get a dry erase marker and right on your mirror
something positive.
Here are some ideas you could potentially write:
-I am beautiful
-Be yourself
-I are amazing
-I can do hard things
-Live today to the fullest
I personally think that saying things like these or writing these things somewhere
will help you feel so much better about yourself.
You also have to remember that it's not always about the BIG things
but the little things in life.
My parents were always good about reminding my twin and I
to enjoy the journey of getting to the place that you want to go, not sure
if that's because we weren't the best travelers or what,
maybe they were just giving us a life lesson...haha!
Just remember that life needs to be enjoyed, even in the hard times.
There are going to be times when you just want to give up
but DON'T! Go full steam ahead and love every minute of it, even during the hard times! ;)

My girl, Al Carraway's quote sums up what I'm trying to perfectly.. she states:
"If you are willing and if you just try, you will find yourself in places
you never would have dreamed of, doing things you never would
have thought of, becoming better, becoming the person Heavenly Father
has wanted you to become all along."

The bottom line is everyone has their days when NOTHING goes
as planned and you feel as though your world is falling a part, but
thats just apart of the journey, learn to love it as you go.

Until Next Time,
XOXO,
Leslie Ann

Spring Break 2016

This year I was FINALLY able to go on a spring break trip with my family, which was much needed. You see usually my school schedule and work schedule never coincide with when my family is taking their annual trip to the lovely KW but this year it did! I was so excited to be able to go this trip! This year (and every other year) we traveled to Key West, Florida and OMG it was amazing! Even though it was a long(er) trip it was well worth it! There is so much to do there, even if the place itself is only 3 miles wide. My favorite thing to do is the Conch Train ride, its a little train/trolley ride that takes you around KW and tells you historical facts about the place, (maybe I love it a little too much because I am a history guru). But in all seriousness it is nice to actually get away from the demands of life and enjoy time with family and it doesn't hurt that it was in such a beautiful place surrounded by the ocean. On our way to Key West and on our way back home, we stopped at...

2016: A Year of Learning and Thankfulness

2016. This year has definitely been a year of learning. Learning who I am and who I'm suppose to become. I've learned this year that I can do anything that I set my mind to do and that I just need possible.  I'm not who I was a year ago and I've learned to be okay with that. I'm coming to terms with the fact that I'm a totally different person than I was even two years ago. I've learned that life goes on. And I've learned that things don't always go as planned. I've learned that things happen for a reason and that things happen in Heavenly Father's time, not ours. I've learned that our plans don't always go accordingly and to be grateful for every moment because we won't be able to get those moments back. This year I've also learned to be thankful. Thankful for my family, who support me, in every decision I make. Thankful for my warm home on winter nights and a cool home on those warm July days. I'm th...

Top [Ten] favorite quotes!

Today I am going to talk about my top 10 favorite quotes and why I love them. I think that inspirational quotes are my favorite type of quotes just because as I have gotten older I've learned to rely on them and they help me get through some of the dark times in my life. 1. "Those who move forward with a happy spirit will find that things work out"  -Gordon B. Hinckley I love this quote because I honestly believe in it. I grew up listening to this man talk in conferences and I absolutely love reading his talks. It's so amazing that when I read or listen to his talks how much I feel as though he is talking specifically to me. 2. "You have not failed until you quit trying" -Gordon B. Hinckley See, I told you I love this man. I absolutely love this quote because it is true, I believe that if you keep on trying at something you have won in some regards. 3.  "If you are a little better than you were yesterday, then that is enough" -David A....
