Word of Wisdom

Hey All!
Just wanted to jot down something for my personal record this morning
before I head to a business meeting!
I decided today, I know on a Tuesday...totally crazy right?
that I would be starting the "Word of Wisdom diet".
Some of you may not know what the Word of Wisdom is
so lucky for you I'm attaching a link here.
Now you may not believe in it and that is totally okay.
But I want to try it because I was inspired by this returned missionary
who lost weight by simply listening to the words of the Lord.
Basically for this diet you eat a lot of veggies and fruits (which I love already)
and eat meat sparingly, meaning not as often as I want to anymore...bye bye tender, juicy steak. :(
No, I'm not turning into a vegetarian.
No, I don't have a ton of weight to lose.
No, you don't have to be a Mormon to do this diet.
Yes, I realize that this diet isn't for everyone but what's the hurt in trying something
that could potentially benefit you in the long run?
I'm excited to see my progress!
Follow me on instagram (@smiles.92) to see my progress until I can get my phone
working properly to upload pictures here again!

Until Next Time,
XOXO,
Leslie Ann

Don't Put Yourself Through That

It's not always easy deciding to stop loving something that you've loved for so long, that you wanted forever. The first few days you are strong about and then BAM it hits you like a ton of bricks. You immediately start crying and wish that it had worked out and you don't completely understand why it didn't. You get mad and frustrated. You had all these plans made, you had all of these dreams you two were going to put into reality one day. It's hard to give up something that you loved. But deep down you know it's for the best. You've struggled for so long but you have the faith that your Heavenly Father is on your side and He will only do what is best for you. So  Don't Put Yourself through   the heart ache of wishing things were different because that person was put into your life for a reason, you learned a lot from those months you were together and you should be thankful for them. Remember it's not always going to be easy, but w...

Even in Hard Times

As we get older we learn life isn't always doughnuts and milkshakes. Life is hard, being a product member of society is hard. Sometimes I think that we are hard too hard on ourselves. We never let ourselves take a break and just rejoice in the wonderful life that we are living. Sometimes we all are busy, we all have families, school, evening activities that we use to try and replace the brokenness we feel in our hearts sometimes. Some of us have felt the brokenness for quite a while now but others are just now starting to feel it. (now I'm not saying all of our lives are broken but admit it you have felt sad in your life about something). So how do we truly fix this? How do we unmask ourselves and start to really feel better about our lives? I believe that we should start by looking in the mirror and realizing we are doing the best that we possibly can. If it helps get a dry erase marker and right on your mirror something positive. Here are some ideas you could...
