This year I was FINALLY able to go on a spring break trip with my family, which was much needed. You see usually my school schedule and work schedule never coincide with when my family is taking their annual trip to the lovely KW but this year it did! I was so excited to be able to go this trip!
This year (and every other year) we traveled to Key West, Florida and OMG it was amazing! Even though it was a long(er) trip it was well worth it! There is so much to do there, even if the place itself is only 3 miles wide. My favorite thing to do is the Conch Train ride, its a little train/trolley ride that takes you around KW and tells you historical facts about the place, (maybe I love it a little too much because I am a history guru). But in all seriousness it is nice to actually get away from the demands of life and enjoy time with family and it doesn't hurt that it was in such a beautiful place surrounded by the ocean.
On our way to Key West and on our way back home, we stopped at different major/minor league baseball parks and my dad scouted some games. It's pretty amazing having a dad who is literally into almost everything, there's never a dull moment if he's involved, I promise.
Baseball has always been the family game to play/watch in my house. Too many people say that it's a boring game but I think they don't truly understand the logistics of it, ha!
I also think that too many people think that spring break is suppose to be spent with your friends but seriously, it's ok to go on one with your family! Your family should be the most important people on this earth. They are the ones who will always have your back, so take time and go on family trips with them. You may learn something about them that you never knew and your relationship with them is guaranteed to grow and you'll make memories that will last forever.
I'm sad that I didn't take that many pictures of the trip but I do have some below. Check them out!
PS:If you ever have a chance to go to Key West you have to stay at The Westin!
