Humility

Lets get real for a minute about humility. I know that this is something that I struggle with on the daily and I have to constantly remind myself to be humble and stay the course that Heavenly Father wants me to be on.
Like most everyone I have dreams and aspirations, that I know take time to accomplish but I am human and I want to accomplish them now, I hate waiting. I don't want to have to work for them but I've been taught that when you work for things you appreciate them that much more and I can testify that what I have been taught is true.
I am always amazed at the fact that when I become not as humbled as I should be something always happens and I become humbled again--crazy right? Maybe not but seriously, being humble is a good thing whether you want to admit it or not.
Forbes magazine posted 13 habits of humble people and I want to share some of them with you because I think they're pretty great.
1. They're situationally aware
2. They retain relationships
3.They make difficult decisions with ease
4.They put others first
5. They listen
How cool would it be to be considered these five things to your friends, peers, co-workers, and even bosses? I know it's not always easy but it's totally worth it to be humble.
I want to challenge each of you to try to become more humble, I promise that great things will come to you if you do.

XOXO,
Leslie Ann

Spring Break 2016

This year I was FINALLY able to go on a spring break trip with my family, which was much needed. You see usually my school schedule and work schedule never coincide with when my family is taking their annual trip to the lovely KW but this year it did! I was so excited to be able to go this trip! This year (and every other year) we traveled to Key West, Florida and OMG it was amazing! Even though it was a long(er) trip it was well worth it! There is so much to do there, even if the place itself is only 3 miles wide. My favorite thing to do is the Conch Train ride, its a little train/trolley ride that takes you around KW and tells you historical facts about the place, (maybe I love it a little too much because I am a history guru). But in all seriousness it is nice to actually get away from the demands of life and enjoy time with family and it doesn't hurt that it was in such a beautiful place surrounded by the ocean. On our way to Key West and on our way back home, we stopped at...

2016: A Year of Learning and Thankfulness

2016. This year has definitely been a year of learning. Learning who I am and who I'm suppose to become. I've learned this year that I can do anything that I set my mind to do and that I just need possible.  I'm not who I was a year ago and I've learned to be okay with that. I'm coming to terms with the fact that I'm a totally different person than I was even two years ago. I've learned that life goes on. And I've learned that things don't always go as planned. I've learned that things happen for a reason and that things happen in Heavenly Father's time, not ours. I've learned that our plans don't always go accordingly and to be grateful for every moment because we won't be able to get those moments back. This year I've also learned to be thankful. Thankful for my family, who support me, in every decision I make. Thankful for my warm home on winter nights and a cool home on those warm July days. I'm th...

Top [Ten] favorite quotes!

Today I am going to talk about my top 10 favorite quotes and why I love them. I think that inspirational quotes are my favorite type of quotes just because as I have gotten older I've learned to rely on them and they help me get through some of the dark times in my life. 1. "Those who move forward with a happy spirit will find that things work out"  -Gordon B. Hinckley I love this quote because I honestly believe in it. I grew up listening to this man talk in conferences and I absolutely love reading his talks. It's so amazing that when I read or listen to his talks how much I feel as though he is talking specifically to me. 2. "You have not failed until you quit trying" -Gordon B. Hinckley See, I told you I love this man. I absolutely love this quote because it is true, I believe that if you keep on trying at something you have won in some regards. 3.  "If you are a little better than you were yesterday, then that is enough" -David A....
